Faculty Affiliates

Faculty interested in being an affiliate of the Translational Plant Sciences Center (TPSC) should first schedule a brief introductory meeting with Dr. David Schmale, Director of TPSC, to discuss research interests and how their work may connect with the Center’s mission and community. Following the meeting, if there is mutual agreement on the fit for the Center, prospective affiliates will be invited to submit a short statement of interest describing their research and envisioned collaborations with TPSC, along with a current CV or NSF-style biosketch. The statement should also include a brief acknowledgment of willingness to provide program metrics, such as publications, grants, awards, and outreach activities, for TPSC’s annual reporting. Application materials are shared with the TPSC Advisory Committee, and affiliate status is confirmed by majority vote. The Advisory Committee meets monthly.
